Celeste dont think that article is happening, sorry for disappointing you but what we might offer is a podcast afterwards 🙂
I’d love to read that article… LOL
A post-game podcast would be even better ! Love listening to the spanish podcasts with my father. I’am sure there will be alot to talk about after these two games coming up and with this whole Nike deal popping up
Can’t wait for the article previewing Uruguay vs Argentina !
Federico Ricca, is a solid choice at left back and in my opinion a better option then Alvaro Pereria and Gaston Silva
I’m out of the loop here, I really don’t know anything about this kid, but its unlikely he’ll start, guys like Varela have gotten called up but haven’t played one serious minute for the NT.
Always remember one thing, look at the age of the player, in recent times El Viejo, likes his NT players to hover around the 25-26 age mark, there are notable exceptions like Lodeiro (starting in the 2009 Playoff matches) and JoseMa Gimenez in the 2014 World Cup.
Waiting for the day when the AUF and Mutual get together and put in place a better league schedule, to ensure the Uruguayan teams are in better form to compete in the Libertadores and Sudamericana. Let’s face it, these two tournaments probably bring in more prize money than the Uruguayan championship. With all the late start and late market moves (altas and bajas), the teams competing in the preliminary rounds are bound to lose.
I could be wrong but I haven’t heard anything about addressing the financial viability of the AUF. I know there were talks about increasing the number of teams in 1st division (which is probably the opposite of what should happen).
Jaja… Que linda historia… me emociono!
i love news like this one.. not for what it signifies for a great international player but because it gives me the opportunity to expose yet again the crew of parasites that plagues la celeste (did i say plague? LOL)
arevalo? mono? cebolla? palito? i’m looking at y’all, m-effers..
PS: can we change the picture on the off-topic? i know the dude has some monstrous teeth but this thing is distorted to caricature level..
We luv caricatures….
Great player that Scheeinsteiger and one of the few real Germans in that national team –What passes as Germany loves to cap Poles, Brazilian, Turks, Martians and pass them off as “German” but hey who cares, fuck history, as long as they win who gives a shit
Lodeiro leaving Boca to go to the Seattle Sounders???
MLS was ranked 55th in 2014 while Uruguayan league was ranked 35th (http://iffhs.de/the-worlds-strongest-national-league-2014/). Other NT coaches like Conte overlooked Giovinco and Pirlo due to their playing in MLS. Kilnsmann was not too happy that Dempsey came to the Sounders and publicly stated it would bring down Dempsey’s playing level. But OWT will still keep including Lodeiro in call-ups. I have always been partial to Lodeiro because the talent is there, although for the NT, he has not lived up to his potential. But to me, this move will be detrimental to his playing abilities.
True – but Sounders are supposedly one of the best MLS teams even though today they sorta fired their coach
Not to be an asshole, but I’d like to remind people here that Lincoln Red Imps defeated Celtic in a Champions League Second Qualifier Round on July 12…..
Why is this important, well Lincoln Red Imps, a semi-amateur outfit in Gibraltar, is managed by none other than Julio César Ribas, one of my three possible picks to manage Uruguay…. this semi-amateur outfit from Gibraltar defeated Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic…. yes, that Brendan Rodgers, “the Visionary!” … Luisito’s former manager………..ahh but what do I know right? LOL – As FIDEL CASTRO once said, HISTORY SHALL ABSOLVE ME!
And of course, that come back will be “oh but they then lost 3-0” to Celtic…. The damage is done, that 1-0 win can’t be erased.
El Gladiador! — I told you so’ …. just like I told you about Gallardo in 2011 but was laughed off!
Pablo Repetto is in the Libertadores Final with Independiente Del Valle, lets see what happens there and then we gotta keep our eye on Luis Zubeldia ——– Sometimes I amaze myself!
Gibraltar being Celtic is classic, but for me, Ribas would not be much better than OWT. I remember his time in Penarol, and all they did was play pelotazo.
That’s the former River Plate coach? I think Nico picked him as a possible NT manager possibility or maybe 433 did ?
Plays the Pelotazo? So he’ll fit right in
Would’ve loved to seen that, but the video is not view-able in the United States! Saw some of the quotes on Twitter – funny, is he responding to us? Wonder if he had a listen to the Podcast? Haha……
Funny enough i thought similarly. Maybe its just a coincidence we were talking real shite on this podcast. I hope you all could listen and uderstand it, english is cool but spanish doesnt hurt anyone 🙂
The Balon d’Or has been turned into a “give it to Ronaldo or give it to Messi” award, its gotten beyond cheesy, Suarez could score goals out of his asshole and UEFA would still come up with a way to reward one of those two.
The FIFA player of the Year is…. Mr. Grondona do you have the envelope? – OH NO, Mr. Grondona is dead….. quick dismantle la AFA, tell Messi to retire and lets get Chile a couple of more Copa America Wins….. hahaha.
Here’s the complete list of winners:
