So Uruguay by virtue of drawing 2-2 with Venezuela made it to the Hexagonal phase of the South American Under-20 tournament, while Brazil and Argentina crashed out. At the count of three, everyone start doing high fives!
Now I didn’t see the game so…. yeah, there won’t be much to this post today… hmm, yeah… now I’m depressed again ;(
So rather than go off the reservation with a post where I somehow manage to work in a Carrasco reference, I’ll just do a Cut N’ Paste cuz that what we do sometimes when we have no article. It works for me… just remember the first match is mañana. I’ll let you guys figure out the time, go to timeanddate.com, work that out with wherever you’re at and then go to your favorite illegal sports streaming website and you’ll be set.

Half time. Uruguay 1-1 Peru. First of all, we lost the lead again!! Peru is also playing with 10 men and so are we, our captain got a red card :\, the way we’re playing with 10 men right now makes me think we’re gonna lose.

As I said without Lopez,Rolan and Laxalt it would be very poor team.
Counterattacking way has saved us.In ball possession even Peru was better.Stronger on the ball, and more skillfull in one on one play.Better covering the midfield.Almost every rebounding ball has finished in their possession.Only this time Uruguay defense was luckily playing better.Formiliano has taken the role of Velasquez and was doing it great.Besides scoring the opening goal.
Celeste has won on the basis of skill and quality of those three in counterattack.
And Christoforo’s defensive interceptions of Peruvian attacks. He was doing great work, and he also knows how to pass.He would be good defensive midfielder.I hope none counts on him as Ramirez substitute in A team.
The others were mediocrities or even poor.I dont see the value of Pais. They all stress its quality, but he is quite obsolete type of player, with poor passings and often kickings ball out.Eguren’s successor.
But I presume he is the one Maestro would took in A team, rather than Laxalt.
