i don’t understand why tabarez is not considering antonio pacheco! yesterday he scored a hattrick;already 10 goals in this season.thats amazing!guy’s what do you think.if he is in this kind of form,he should go to the world cup.vamos uruguay!
who are our scoring options?forlan or suarez.lodeiro is not in the stating lineup for ajax, malaka is inconsistent as well as cavani, gargano or perez will rarely score, cebolla will miss two match and nacho, this guy is fantastis in a roll of playmaker but not a scorer.so if,suarez or forlan not score who will score in this team?neither tabarez nor the football fedaration!and without scoring we will never pass the 1st round.so,you need a third option in the field.in my opinion pacheco has that ability.yes sometimes he looks little slow but he will never stop scoring!
nacho scored 43 goals for danubio, 1 for monaco (out of 3 games), 1 for valencia (out of two friendlies) and so far 2 for levadiakos (out of a few games as well), he can score for gosh sake.
pacheco might be a nice sub for nacho, any way you have to analyze everything, and everything means.. nacho might miss the world cup due to injuries. cebolla in doubt as well. i will give my premonition of the final day call-up soon.
by the way, sad, how did you make it to the blog? i mean you heard about LCB somewhere?
well nico, actually i had no idea about this blog 1 month ago! my girlfriend told me about this blog.but she is not la Celeste fan .she supports the ‘selecao’.though she is not my supporter, she gives me an opportunity to share my emotions with you guys.i was admiring for a month all of you and suddenly decided this is the time to share my views with you guys.and nico i really like you man!(because i am also a big fan of nacho!).
i watched the last game nacho played for levadiakos, where he scored 1 goal.that was a world class finish.no doubt he is superb in his position.but do you think japo is better than pacheco or nacho?i dont understad why is there arevalo?when you have players like gargano or perez,is there any need of arevalo?palito is okay in place of cebolla, but not as good as him.he is mutch better in left wing back position.and lodiero or malaka can’t replace nacho.never.nacho is 100 times better than those guys.even cavani is better in that position than lodiero or malaka.atleast he tries!
well sad we are glad to have you here, very happy about it.
in fact, nacho, lodeiro, palito, ruso, arevalo are different players. you can compare gargano to arevalo though, both are pure “5s”, being the reason why id take both of them for the WC, and arevalo would be my starter, playing in the NT is not new stuff for him, and he seldom makes mistakes unlike gargano who tends to miss simple passes at times, very often as of late.
ruso is a right winger with amazing skills to get the ball back for us, and who is able to send air balls with outstanding accuracy. play him as a 5 and he will underperform (see the Argentina game)
japo is not your typical 10 either. i guess tabarez must be thinking of playing him instead of cebolla for the first 2 games; otherwise he will go for palito (and this is more likely to happen).
nacho will be your typical enganche; if hes injured tabarez might try lodeiro as a modern enganche (more advanced than the classic 10). japo suits the modern enganche idea as well, since he is able to both dodge and run very quickly.
as for malaka hes just not WC material. mean while pacheco could be given a chance during a friendly, why not? he delivers interesting free-kicks, we dont have someone able to do so do we?
i also want coates as a starter during the next friendly vs Israel.
and no, i dont like palito as left back, there we do have caceres, and defensively palito is not strong enough for a WC. im more concerned about the right back position; el mono is a good player, but hes in fact more of a right winger turned into (or forced to be) a right back because ruso is a hell of a lot better and more solid there. that is to say it doesnt matter how good a right back is attacking, he needs defensive skills as well.
who do you play as your right back? i say el mono because i cant see a better option, maybe fucile? victorino? have you seen the baldpatch who plays for Estudiantes? clemente, that midget is a beast, both ofensively and defensively; just a pity hes not uruguayan lol.
